Custom learning management system user interface
My company has built custom learning management systems for small to medium sized organizations for over a decade. Recently, I led an effort to completely re-think the traditional LMS user interface and experience. The solution features:
User-centric homepage dashboard
Combines the look, feel, and functionality of a traditional corporate intranet landing/portal page with the features of a traditional learning management system. This eliminates the need for both and pushes all key functionality up-front for the user into a friendly and intuitive interface.
Modular design
Each block on the homepage dashboard makes it easy for the user to identify the functional areas of the system while remaining easily-customizable to individual customers. The modular nature of the homepage allows for an infinite combination of functional blocks – stock or custom-built – as well as an wide variety of configurations across a fully-responsive layout.
Modern technology
This take on the LMS updates much of the company's backend to use modern code while I concentrated on the front-end to make it fully responsive and accessible. Built using HTML5 and CSS3, users of modern browsers are even served a layout built using CSS Grid, this LMS is built with the future in mind while still catering to corporate clients stuck on older, less capable browsers.
Fully customizable user interface: change logos, colors and fonts as well as add, delete and re-order modules.
