On the 14th of January 2009, BBC launched their Farsi language channel for the Iranian market.
The Iranian government's censorship of international media, caused the educated middle-class Iranian youth to feel isolated from the rest of the world. The biased POV of the western Farsi-speaking news satellite channels didn't help make their audience feel connected with the world either.
To connect with Iranian youth on an emotional and intellectual level, and to acknowledge them as an integral part of the rest of the world, we developed a storyline consisting of one continuous monologue delivered by different people from different parts of the world, beginning & ending in Iran.
