The information system Medor comprises a variety of modules which the client then combines and adjusts according to their individual needs. The basis of this system is an internet server and the users can communicate with this system through an online application using their smartphones, tablets or laptops.
Informační systém Medor je tvořen různými moduly, které si sestavuje klient podle svých potřeb přesně na míru. Jeho základem je internetový server. Uživatelé se systémem komunikují ze svých počítačů, tabletů nebo smartphonů online pomocí klientské aplikace.
We based the visual style of this information system on a combination of a striking typeface, bold colours and a playful use of patterns and symbols. Primarily, we wanted to avoid the overly technical, formal and emotionless approach to design that many software companies tend to fall into.
Vizuální styl informačního systému Medor jsme postavili na výrazné typografii, barevnosti a hravé práci s texturou znaků. Chtěli jsme se vyvarovat nešvarů softwarových firem s jejich neosobním a příliš technickým přístupem.
We arrived at the conclusion to base our design on loose association. Using a puzzle-inspired stencil typeface, we wanted to illustrate user’s ability to build own systems purely from the modules they need. The pattern created with programming symbols further portrays both company’s specialisation in software and their flexibility.
Jako nejlepší se nakonec ukázalo asociační pojetí. Stencilové písmo na principu skládačky znázorňuje možnost zákazníka sestavit si informační systém na míru z modulů, které potřebuje. Textura založená na znacích používaných v programování pak akcentuje softwarové zaměření firmy i její flexibilitu.
