Watched Stranger Things (really cool by the way) and got inspired to watch E.T. (what a gorgeous movie) and saw this scene and thought yes, this is so cool, I want to give it a try. So I did this little piece over halloween.
Start with the tool shed on the right and build it from the screenshot of the movie. The volumetric lights were the hardest to create. Kind of tricky to get sharp god rays but I am quiet happy with the result. Tryed the environment medium but actually I needed the scattering in a specific area and not in hole scene. So tryed a custom vdb and it worked well.
