BenjaminPop! is a growing stationery brand that I have the pleasure to be a part of! To reveal each state you've gone to underneath the gold, silver, or black scratch-off material, you'll find a colorful piece that creates visual interest and can be kept as a print, even after everything is scratched off!
For this scratch-off product I was tasked with researching each state's nickname, icons, and symbolism having to do with the states. Through photo-manipulation, editing/color-correcting, type treatment, and color coordination (to make sure no similar colors were adjacent to one another) I laid out everything you see below, in respect to each state.

Each state was thoughtfully and carefully designed with their flora/fauna, landmarks, and natural landscapes, to create an appealing colorful print that comes together once all of the states are scratched off.
These are available in 3 colors, including the lesser-known, black scratch-off material (the others, being gold and silver)!
All created with their respective overprint layers to outline each state.
After over 10,000 maps sold in the first 3 months of our debut, I'm extremely happy with the response I've gotten from individual people and boutiques who've enjoyed my design and the fun/interactivity that scratch-off material can bring!
All-in-all, I'm happy that my goal of creating something that people find joy in and can interact with has been accomplished. I hope that I can continue to design products that I enjoy and that other people can feel the same about!
