L’UBO Open Factory , atelier ouvert d’innovation pluridisciplinaire, est un service commun de l'Université de Bretagne Occidentale situé à l’UFR Sciences et Techniques.
L'objectif de ce workshop était de se familiariser avec les outils et les méthodologies de travail du fablab en vue de concevoir une petite série de mobiliers en parlant d'open source, d'upcycling, économie circulaire, hacking, design de la transition. Ce mobilier devait répondre au concept, aux usages et au lieu, duplicable par la suite avec les outils du fablab.
Nous sommes venus intervenir sur une table scolaire pour remplacer une partie, par un pied de vieille table récupérée. L'idée a été de « hacker » ce mobilier durant ce workshop et de pouvoir dire que si un pied est cassé, il peut être remplacé et dupliqué facilement.
J'ai effectué ce projet avec l'aide de Delphine Le Boulaire et de Quentin Hidrio.

The UBO Open Factory, open workshop of multidisciplinary innovation, is a joint service of the University of Western Brittany located at UFR Sciences and Technology.
The objective of this workshop was to familiarize participants with the tools and methodologies of fablab work to design a small series of furniture by talking about open source, upcycling, circular economy, hacking, transition design. This furniture had to respond to the fablab concept, its' uses and the Open Factory space, while remaining reproducible with the digital manufacturing tools available.
We modified a school table to replace a part with the foot of old table we recovered. The idea was to "hack" this furniture during this workshop and to be able to say that if a foot is broken, it can be replaced and duplicated easily.
I did this project with the help of Delphine Le Boulaire and Quentin Hidrio.
