I am a first student project at the University of Johannesburg studying Industrial Design. We were tasked to design " A Better Screwdriver" in our Engineering module. The project consisted of us designing a screwdriver better than what is already been designed as well as adding our own design flare to it.
An Engineering sketch of an existing screwdriver was done in order for us to understand the product completely and have an understanding of all the components that make up the screwdriver.
An Engineering sketch of my own screwdriver was done based on my understanding of the previous screwdriver and it's components as well as creating a new design of my own.
CAD progress was done to show the working environment in CAD and how my thoughts progressed throughout the design.
CAD renders of my screwdriver were done to show what the product would look like in "real life". One ergonomic render was done to show size, proportions and human interface. One render was done as a product shot, focusing on the product in it's environment.
