本作品結合紙摺結構(Origami)與光雕投影(Projection Mapping),
以微生物與海洋的意象結合製成音樂動畫,
傳達氣候變遷之下微生物所處微環境的劇烈變化,
如同人類在地球這個大環境之中,
作為環境氣候的加害者、也作為極端氣候的被害者,
逐漸窒息。

This work combines Origami and Prejection Mapping.
The animation used the image of the microorganisms and the sea.
The purpose is to convey the dramatic changes in the microenvironment of microorganisms under climate change,
just like human live in the environment of earth.

人類活動產生大量溫室氣體,不只造成全球暖化、極端氣候,也造成許多生物的生存威脅。
在我們平常看不到的地方,也有一群植物病原微生物被影響,改變生活史、分佈、與寄主的互動。它們所在的「微環境」,宛如地球的縮影,一個不斷升溫的壓力鍋。
植物病原微生物與農作物生產息息相關,我們的所作所為恣意牽動其他生物的常態,最終也將反過來吞噬我們,將自己逼至絕境。

Human activities make a lot of greenhouse gas, causing global warming and climate change. There are a group of plant pathogenic microorganisms living somewhere out of our site, and being under the influence of climate change.
Plant pathogenic microorganisms have much to do with agriculture; what we human did will come back to ourselves, making ourselves suffer from the strikes back of nature.
本創作使用光雕投影技術,投影對象為紙摺結構(origami),在幾何形狀中做出微妙變化,象徵地球環境地貌、也象徵主題的微環境(microenvironment)。
投影機投射動畫至紙摺結構表面,內容為微生物在氣候變遷影響下逐漸改變的環境中蠢蠢欲動的畫面,隨著背景音樂產生不同特效變化。

This work combines projection mapping and origami structure, as a symbol of earth geomorphology and the theme Microenmironment at the same time.
The projector projects the animation on to the origami structure, showing how microorganisms looked like under the influence of climate change, and changing the scene based on the background music.
作品融合微生物與海洋的意象,微生物影像隨著音樂節奏跳動改變,產生萬花筒與鏡像反射的眩麗效果。
整體色調以藍色為主,彷彿微環境浸泡在海水之中,如同人類的居住空間逐漸被日益上升的海平面吞噬。

The image color of this work is blue, as a metaphor of the sea. The animation of microorganisms 
will be covered by the blue color, like we human will be covered by rising sea in the future.
