Another monster illustration for this year's Monster Project

The Monster Project invites artists from all over the world to recreate a kid's drawing in their own style. The final results are presented to the kids who made the original drawings with the intention to let the kids see what their ideas can turn into and therefore what they can accomplish. Such an inspiring project and I am so happy to be a part of it again this year.
Here it is: my artwork for this year's Monster Project!
This is the original kid's drawing. Isn't it so much fun to look at?!

This year I really tried to stay true to the original drawing, using the same colors as the kid and really looking at the shapes in there to see what I could make of them. I chose a pretty 'abstract' drawing - so much fun to work on! There are so many details and so much fun elements to spot in there. I loved the way the two colors in the original drawings created a third color by drawing them on top of each other, so I used this transparency trick in my artwork as well! Hope you guys enjoy it :)
