A Day in the Life...

I created this project in Adobe Photoshop as a project for the certification.
The tools I used for this project was auto tone, color, and contrast, and then using different adjustments to bring out certain aspects in the photo itself. I also used the magic wand tool to delete certain parts of the Polaroid outline that wasn't needed. Also in layers, I changed how they were arranged to bring one image forwards/backwards, and then to merge different layers together to form one. I used the space in my design to create an almost vintage feeling by using the old cracked plaster and brick wall as the backdrop and the black and white Polaroids for the images. Within the pictures themselves I used the rule of thirds in order to create a visually appealing aspect that emphasized certain things. By playing around with the values of the images I was able to emphasize different areas within the images that I wanted to pop out, and de-emphasize areas that weren't as pleasing or important. My focal point of the collage is at the center as the image of me and my friends I had made here. After seeing that your eyes start to travel to the other images from around CVTC and what my daily life looks like there. By shifting the different scales, proportions, and angles of the Polaroids it created a visual interest that created emphasis towards certain images. With the type I used I wanted to give it a personal feeling so I went for a handwritten font which gave it just the right touch.
