This digital self-portrait was drawn to simulate a woodcut carving or scratchboard illustration. Made with Adobe Draw on Apple iPad Pro
Process:
Started with a layer with a rough sketch with a black layer underneath.
I used the eraser tool an "scratched away" at the black layer to simulate the scratchboard (or woodcut) effect.
I turned off the sketch layer and continued "scratching" the black layer
Continued this process to emphasize the lighter areas and leaving the darker areas intact
After detail is completed, I added a white frame on a separate layer.
