On 3rd June 1997, Roberto Carlos wowed the world with one of the most spectacular free kicks in football history.

The former left-back left goalkeeper Fabien Barthez bemused as the ball, which looked to be heading to the corner flag, curved back, grazed the edge of the post and hit the back of the net. It was the most famous goal of Carlos’s career. 

David Beckham Vs Greece

One of the most iconic moments of Beckham’s career happened when he was playing for England in 2001.

On 6th October, the English team was down 2-1 to Greece in a crucial World Cup-qualifier. England needed to win or draw to get to the finals. After a stoppage-time foul from Greece, Beckham stepped up to take the free kick. A perfect combination of bend, power, and dip saw the ball hit the back of the net, and England qualifies for the finals.

Ronaldo Vs Portsmouth

Ronaldo’s legendary free kick against Portsmouth is one of the most enduring images of Ronaldo’s time at Manchester United.

On 30th January 2008, he lined up a free kick from 30 yards. Lashing the ball with incredible pace and power, he smashed it into the very top corner of the goal and earned himself a place in football history.
