Branding // Kent State 2018 CCI Career Expo

The College of Communication and Information at Kent State University puts on a Career Expo each year to allow students and employers to make connections. I was the solo creative director and designer in charge of branding the 2018 event and creating various promotional graphics and print materials. I created an identity that would work for all three of the events that we offer. The idea of “define,” “prepare,” and “connect” allows the students to get ready to meet potential employers by following simple steps. Navigating the job world can be intimidating when there are so many paths one can take. By using fluid lines, this branding shows that it’s not always a straight path, but it can be a smooth one. Everything connects, and it is crucial for students to understand the importance of networking.
