CS Leigh is a writer and filmmaker, when he first approached weaponofchoice, the book was nothing more than a vast selection of images and snippets of text, close to 3600 emails between us were needed to get the book into existence.
is a book of ideas, containing quality content such as lengthy essays and non-glamourous yet savvy fashion editorials.
It is a book you carry around, you keep going back to it again and again.
With 416 pages it’s a cross between a magazine and a soft-bound book. At 10,5cm x 14,5cm large and 2,5cm thick is a far cry from the big, bigger, biggest (taschen) books of today.
Creating this little book was in every way a challenge. A process that should have taken a year, but was done in no more than 6 weeks. Traveling back and forth between Paris and Rotterdam, we worked in Hotel lobbies, the backseat of a black Benz, in trains and sometimes in our office.
It was without doubt the most bizarre project we ever did and to complicated to get across on this site, but if you’re interested google mr CS Leigh it’s interesting reading… guaranteed.
That was “The Annotated Spectacle” and it came out last year in the Fall.
