Wedding Design - Website of Laura & Marco
This project folio aims to show the details and process in the wedding website of a fun international couple, commissioned by Sugokuii Events. Not only does it contain useful information about the event, it is also a lovely guide to Capri! I took care of the design aspects, while Tansy Kas did the writing, and Jan Kublech uploaded to web.
You can enjoy the full website at www.pizzapastaeamore.com!
The first thing greeting you in the landing page is this fun GIF with the main invitation info.
When clicking on the initial GIF, one enters the full menu of the website. Each postcard leads to a sub-menu and animates when hovering.
Every page has its own defining color and postcard. "Come Away With MI" contains the details of the invitation to the wedding over a bright turquoise! Note the heart in the top left, acting as the "Back to Menu" button, and the "Back to top" button to simplify scrolling through the multiple sections.
"Dress Like an Illbruck" provides two collages (supplied by the wedding planner) acting as a mood board for the dress code of this two-days event. Screenshotted are some details in the illustrated banners on top and bottom of those collages.
"Andiamo a Capri" is the page providing all the touristic information about hotels, transportation, and other practical tips to organise the guests' vacation in Capri.
"Services alla Caprese" was the page with useful links for requesting private services on the island, RSVPing to the event and peeking at the wedding registry!
"Dolce Isola" is the most complex page, with multiple sections designed and separated with their own tile illustration. It covers all the activities and pleasures one can enjoy in Capri, from shopping to day trips. It contains many details and collages, and to make the navigation easier the very first section is a clickable photographic menu that brings you to each "chapter" of this beautiful guide!
"Learn to speak Italiano" is a fun page with some easy phrases guests can use during their time in Capri and a link to the famous D&G video explaining Italian hand gestures. Go look it up for a good laugh!
Last but not least, every modern couple needs its own Instagram page and hashtag! "Marry MI in Capri" was created to let the guests know where to post and view the most spontaneous wedding photos.
The site is also responsive and usable on mobile. Above are some screenshots of how the layout varies.
