This work is connected to my first memory ever when I was a two-year old child. I only remember a flash and it is related to my grandfather who died very early in my life. Memory and places of memory are a of interest to me and a reoccurring theme in my work. I poured melted wax over old photographs and filmed it while it cooled down symbolizing the hazy and murky world of our own oldest memories. The reason we remeberd exactly that and it's meaning will forever be invisible to us, maybe the remanents of our true self, the source of our jouissance, in the words of Lacan.
