The Toymakers: Book cover design. Final design and advanced reading proof copy
Cover design for Robert Dinsdale's dark and magical novel The Toymakers. I was commissioned by Penguin Random House to illustrate this enchanting tale set in a Victorian toyshop.
Art direction and design by Clare Stacey at Head Design- we tried to capture the enchantment of the story and during the design process we went through several versions of the cover, shown here. I also created chapter headers for the novel. I was thrilled when my illustration was reused for the paperback edition.
