ILES is a series of fifteen pieces of furniture for studio flats. The user can arrange them into various formations 'islands' and gain access to individual elements from different sides, while the forms of the furniture define spatial areas. Designed for Millennials generation, the furniture was inspired by geometry and the organic shapes of stones. Its uniform colour is varied by textures and materials - lacquered steel, CDF, fabrics and epoxy resin combined with buckwheat - our own experimental material.
