We love getting our hands dirty so that other people don't have to… In fact we love marks, splatters and drips so much that we decided to find a way to keep as much of the hand-painted detail as possible to help creatives replicate that authentically painted look without having to make a mess themselves.
That's why After painting we convert each character into both vector files and font files.
Detailed vector files (.ai & .eps) allow for manually placing each character and keep all the paint effects - Think of it like typesetting.
AND simplified font files (.otf & .ttf) which can be used during development to help position the detailed versions - Or used in their own right for larger bodies of text.
We also included alternative versions of each glyph to reduce duplication. We think this gives a feel that someone has created each word rather than it being a bought typeface - As much as possible anyway!
We also made the decision to let people download .ai & .eps samples so that they can see the level of detail.
