An exlibris is a bookplate which is usually a small print or decorative label pasted into a book,
often on the inside front cover.
I designed three different Exlibris, one for a friend, one for a famous person (virutal project) and one for myself.

I created an individual modern exlibris for the musician Michael Hilgert .
He is a very well balanced person, so i used a simple design of a guitar plectrum for the exlibris.
The “pause” sign on the box spins the connection to his reading- and guitar playing habits. In his
reading breaks he plays guitar and uses this time out to make music.
Technique: metal letter print (case room), silk screen print, linocut

Charlotte Roche is a german moderator and author with british roots. Her debut novel » wetlands «
is a animadversion on the femal role in society and on exorbitant hygiene. An other fact is that Roches
name is pronounced very often wrong as »roach«. My exlibris concept combines femininity and a bit disgust.
The innocent white packaging is a contrast to the gaudy content. Technique: etching & silk screen printing
I created an individual exlibris for myself. I like the digital world, but a world without books and analogue media would be dreary. My space invador protects my books against the digital media, but it‘s also a lovely coeval.
It spins the connection between my love to digital media and books.
Technique: metal letter print, case room
