Jewelry June2010
I recently attended an opening in which one of my paintings was being exhibited at the Chautauqua Institution. While at the opening, I got to talking with some really great artists and gallerists. One person in particular was the director of the gallery's gift shop, Eileen Petre. Among the chatting, she was interested in the necklace I had on, which was one of my designs. As a result we agreed that I should put some of my work in the gift shop. So the next morning while suiting up for my 8 hour drive back to Boston, we arranged a 'hand off' at 5 in the morning. So two weeks later, I heard from Eileen that people were really interested in my designs and that she wanted me to send her more. This work is what I sent her and is now for sale at the Strohl Art Gallery at the Chautauqua Institution in New York.
