In 2009 I took part in a competition for a poster for a fantasy/sfi-fi convention in Lublin. The topic was (if I remember well) "Dark/Creepy birthday" and since I was very much into "Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Corpse Bride" and am an eager participant of Falkon every year, those two subjects just *clicked* for me perfectly :D
I made two works and won with the first one (edited a bit by the organizers before printing), the illustration of the latter one was also used in printed materials :)
In 2010 I also took part in the competition for a cyber-themed Falkon poster.
It was quite challenging especially that I never was that much into cyberpunk movies/books/anime, but still managed to get 3rd place. :)
