Forever & Ever - Packaging

Tasked to come up with a product (make believe or not) and package it to showcase our best traits. I had a hard time trying to decide on a product that really showed my best trait. While working on this project I realised that I am sub-consciously very loyal to my interests and passions. During a class activity, I was told to write an interesting story about myself; a story that says something about my personality. I wrote about my teenage years and how I went about being an extreme fangirl. It started about with (big surprise!) Justin Bieber. I was obsessed with Justin for a very long time and during this period I immersed myself with all things, Justin. I made just I knew where he was in the world and I memorised all his songs, released and unreleased. I was a very loyal fan (I might still be). From this story-telling session, I realised that I have a knack for sticking to one thing for a very long time. So if I really like something, I’ll really like it, and I’ll stick by it for as long as I can. I thought that this was a very interesting part of me that I wanted to translate into this project brief and felt that hard candies were a good product to help me communicate this trait of mine. Hard candies take a very long time to dissolve when eaten and I felt that it was a perfect metaphor for my undying loyalty to things that I really love; graphic design being one of them.
