<Color Your Mind>는 참여자의 뇌파를 키네틱 오브제의 움직임과 빛의 컬러로 비주얼라이제이션하는 인터랙티브 작품이다. 기술의 발전에 따라 개인에 대해 인지할 수 있는 방법이 다양해지고 있다. <Color Your Mind>는 이러한 점에 집중해 기술이 개개인을 더 선명하게 할 수 있는 수단으로 작용하게 한다.
작품을 체험하기 위해 전시공간에 들어 선 참여자에게는 EEG 헤드밴드가 제공된다. 착용 후 EEG 헤드밴드는 블루투스 통신으로 마이크로 컨트롤러에 연결된다. 입력된 8 종류의 뇌파는 알고리즘을 통해 분석된 후 안정도와 몰입도로 나뉘어 각각 시각적으로 작품에 맵핑된다. 참여자의 안정도에 따라 키네틱 오브제가 고요하게, 혹은 거칠게 물결친다. 몰입도에 따라 달라지는 빛의 색은 키네틱 오브제를 이루는 거울에 의해 공간을 아우르도록 확장된다. 개인의 무의식이 시각화 되는 공간에서 개인은 실존을 감각한다.
<Color Your Mind> is interactive artwork that visualizes participants' brain waves in the colors of light and the movement of the kinetic object. As technology advances, ways to be aware of individuals are becoming diverse. <Color Your Mind> concentrates on this, allowing technology to act as a means to make individuals clearer.
After participants wear, the EEG headband is connected to the micro controller by Bluetooth communication. The eight types of brain waves inputed are analyzed through algorithms and then output into stability and concentration level, each of which is visually mapped to the artwork. Depending on the stability of the participant, the kinetic object waves silently or roughly. The color of the light, which varies according to the degree of immersion, is extended throughout the space by mirrors forming a kinetic object. In the space in which the unconscious of the individual is visualized, the individual senses self-existence.
