Process. I started with some simple line art. Being the theme "Freakshow" I wanted to incorporate a normal looking girl. 
The thinking behind this was that as we grow up, we feel as if we don't belong, that we're different. We base ourselves off of our appearances, and not what's within. 
The mirror behind the girl reflects the standard of beauty. The spiderwebs being a broken or "shattered" mirror, and the "smoke" connecting her body as her inner beauty.
Adding color, I then played with some different color variances, before falling on the orange. I had decided I wasn't fond of the text, so I changed the bottom lettering to fit more off of my idea. 
We are the freakshows, that noone else sees.
