Thug Tears is a poster series inspired by hiphop's current 'emo moment'. Ranging from underground soundcloud artists to chart toppers, more and more rappers seem to opening up with straight forward melodramatic lyrics aswell as taking fashion/image cues from hardcore/punk/emo subcultures. Visually inspired by these subcultures and using the aforementioned lyrics, the different layers and the concept of 'opening up' are key visual elements in this series.
