An orbit render of the pistons for a C47 Skytrain Rotary14 engine. The first major accomplishment for my internship – a high-detail model of a C47 for the Geneseo 1941 Historical Aircraft Museum. Realized after the render the angle for the pistons is off a tad so the exhaust doesn’t line up with the brackets on all of them. Ill have to fix that before I re-render.
Also, a screen shot of the fuse fusaloge thus far. I have the tail's vertical portion done as well in another file and have since converted from NURBs to polys inorder to start working in higher detail. The next major component I will be focusing in on is the landing gear.
From an external perspective, the engine , landing gear, and cockpit are the only components of major consequence. Therefore, I made a simple overal mesh and will add on the other components as I complete them. I HOPE that when I have added them all on the 'basic body' will really come alive.
