Colourful Ink spots - Illustration Project

Ink Illustrations
A series of ink illustrations for Le Mouveme book.

A series of ink illustrations for Le Mouveme book design.
These illustrations were created for my book design project which was based on three of most influential fine artists; Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. I was inspired by their life story and colour pallets, hence the colourful and playful designs. I used artistic ink on Chinese rice paper, then I drew on them using charcoal pencils.

This was inspired by the blue period of Picasso paintings.
This is an interpenetration of the Vase with Twelve Sunflowers piece by Van Gogh. When I was a kid I dreamed of becoming a painter like Vincent but I did not believe that "I am as good as him".
The artistic talent that would make Picasso one of the greatest artists of all time manifested itself at a very early age; it is often said that young Picasso started painting and drawing before he could even speak and that his first word was piz, short for lápiz, the Spanish word for ‘pencil’.
This piece was inspired by lápiz. An artistic pencil that created all the imagination of Pablo.
