Mia believed that, in her late twenties, she would still be able to save her disintegrating marriage and have the sunny, idealised life that she had always envisioned. Her soon-to-be-ex husband was not interested in making the effort though, and now she is going through a strenuous and emotionally taxing divorce. However, despite her traumatic personal life, she manages to uphold a facade of happiness and joy while secretly suffering from a deep lack of trust which causes her to avoid any opportunity for moving on and finding new love.
Kian is an investor. Disappointed in life and all it has given him, he prefers observing instead of participating. Living vicariously through others, he helps and encourages them to enjoy and appreciate life, the worth of which he knows and misses all too intimately. He also finds solace in his hobbies; building sailboats and... murder.

About the author Stefan Richter is a writer, lyricist, filmmaker and producer. His main subjects are love and relationships and he combines the romantic with the dramatic and existential to create a uniquely bittersweet narrative that guarantees an emotional joyride which will leave you with a lingering sense of both heartache and ecstasy.
Promotional Cards
The illustration that I've made for the book cover represents the love and drama between a couple. The union between the couple is made of ink that simbolizes the wine stains of a complicated relationship. I've used red as a warm colour, of love and fire. The water mark silhouette can be associated to the river and the rounded form the moon and it's reflection on the water, as we can read on the book.
The lettering of the tittle has a personal, delicate, romantic and feminine touch.
