AFL: AusKick Kidzone

THE CHALLENGE:
•    Stem the threat to AFL by Soccer – especially among kids
•    Develop a direct communication channel with Auskick’s growing national register of junior players
•    Create excitement about the game at all league levels

THE SOLUTION:
•    Allow close communication between 2,000 nationally located development centres and their registered players
•    Build a highly engaging interface designed specifically for footy fans aged 6 - 12
•    A range of interactive components including: Games, applications, live chat with real footy stars, customised interface and newsletters to reflect your team, club info, Auskick info, trading cards, downloads, tipping contests etc.
AND THE RESULTS:
•    Launched March 2003, reaching all 18,000 members (with no offline advertising support)
•    KidsZone has become the official vehicle for the AFL to communicate with its up-and coming fan base
•    Whilst the target age of its membership is 6- 12, footy fans of all ages are enjoying tipping, chatting and learning more about our nation's favourite sport, teams and players
