A Brief Biography of David McCullough

An accomplished attorney and business executive with decades of experience, Edward Reicin served as a trial lawyer for over 15 years before launching MPC Containment International, Ltd., in 1975. He has since grown the Chicago-based manufacturing company into a multimillion-dollar enterprise. Outside of work, Edward Reicin enjoys reading the works of his favorite authors, which include David McCullough. 

Born in Pittsburgh in 1933, McCullough is a prominent historian, author, and lecturer who published his first book, The Johnstown Flood, in 1968. Since then, McCullough has written nine more books on topics such as the Revolutionary War, John Adams, Harry Truman, and, most recently, the Wright Brothers. His books on Truman and Adams won him a Pulitzer Prize in 1993 and 2002, respectively. 

McCullough’s other awards and accolades are numerous and include the Presidential Medal of Freedom, two National Book Awards, and 55 honorary degrees. Currently, he is working on a book about the first settlers in the Northwest Territories. Titled The Pioneers, the book is scheduled for release in 2019.
