INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE, YEAR 3 FINAL MAJOR PROJECT: PET HOSPICE (PROJECT OVERVIEW)
The Pet Hospice aims to support children (ages 5 to 11) during times of bereavement, specifically for their animal companions.

The Pet Hospice also provides facilities (shown below) that offer bereavement services and activities and many more for  children which include hand crafting special boxes/ coffins for their deceased pets.

Lastly, the purpose of the Pet Hospice, is to help educate children about death and teach them that bereavement does not have to be a sad time but a celebration of life and memories shared with their pet companion. Pets were the best way of communicating this as most children respond well to animals.

The rationale for this particular building function stemmed from the areas historic link to a Roman cemetery that was situated on the site.
