Europa Interactive Quiz

This project was about creating an interactive quiz about a selected topic and was done in two parts. The target audience were learners from ten to twelve years of age who watched a NASA video called, “Great lakes of Europa”. For the target audience, the purpose of this interactive quiz was to accompany the video and test the learner’s knowledge and information retention along with achieving the learning outcomes. Since this project was basically done from scratch, the first part had to do with typing the code for the quiz. Following along with tutorial videos, students used Java Script and HTML coding to make up the basic format of the quiz and use it as a template. The second part brought forth options of videos to base a quiz from. With Bloom’s Taxonomy considered, learning outcomes, test questions, and an authentic assessment had to be created and transferred to the Java Script and HTML code previously created. Then applying corresponding images to the coding had to be done to go with the proper questions and background image.
Following a tutorial, this section of HTML code was first created as the template with a different topic and images. The second part replaced key lines of code to change the topic, wording, and images to make the interactive quiz on the right.
This section of the cascading style sheet (CSS) file is another coding file used in the creation of the interactive quiz. On the right is the mobile version that automatically converts when the window is resized.
This JavaScript file goes with the accompanying JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) file to complete the quiz. With each answer, attempt there is a statement and additional feedback about the correct answer.
