This is a project for Limbo Starr, an underground music label from Madrid, Spain. The budget was really tight, but I had a lot of freedom to develope the entire project on my own.

Alborotador Gomasio is an Spanish indie pop band. They contacted me to animate their new musical video. The communication and workflow was great: they gave me a lot of artistic freedom.

Now let´s see some samples of the project:

1- The original drawings. Ink on paper.

2- The coloring process. We have three versions to animate the movement of the lights and shadows. It is pretty rudimentary but it works fine.

3- Some animations, like the fire, are done frame by frame. It is though a very simple process. You can do it with less pictures, but at least three are necessary. With 5 you start getting an organic feeling.

4- To create the nature I used only a few plants. The project was low budget, so I needed to keep it as simple as possible, trying not to develop too many elements.

At the end of the video, you can get pretty tired of watching the same animations all over again, but the image of this car burning and moving through space is so cool for me that the final feeling is a warm sci-fy emptiness that I really enjoy.
