33° Chicago Latino Film Festival
International Contest
Chicago Latino Film Festival launched a competition for the 33rd edition of the event. The subject of the contest was a poster design that could combine the Latin and the American face that always go hand in hand in this organization.
My intention was to synthesize elements of the South-American textile culture, extrapolating the simple shapes that create the pattern of the traditional fabrics.
The next step was to re-compose these shapes in order to represent one of the symbols linked with the cinematographic culture, using bright colours so that they could be more distinguishable and create more dynamism.
