Hypothetical Charity organisation logo

This was a logo that I designed in 2016 for a second year project. I was given the topic of "English" and "sports" and had to come up with a South African brand that needed a logo. I chose the word "Nelson" and the sport cricket. The reason for the name is because Nelson is a term used to describe the phenomenon where the scoreboard displays a 111 or 222 etc. The superstition is that the whole team and sometimes even the Umpire should stand on one leg to prevent that someone should be caught out on this score.
Nelson also then relates back to South Africa because of Nelson Mandela. The organisation that I came up with took on the form of a charity funded by Nelson Mandela and any cricket lovers, to help young boys who are underprivileged to be able to play cricket and have access to the proper equipment. Sports is a very important part of a child's development and I wanted to find a way to give children the chance to enjoy it.
