AIRSPACE
This is work from my internship with Airspace.
Airspace is a local company that designs and manufactures inflatables. Up until recently the company mostly worked in advertising for big brands. They make inflatable arches for racing events, beach soccer goals, mascots, and of course, jumping castles.
When I joined the team they had just started branching out into stage design and were collaborating on a project to design and build giant inflatable animals for festivals.
I was lucky enough to work on this project.
We were working with an animator who would design the animals. He then sent me his 3D models which I had to rebuild and separate into the cutting pattern so that in could be printed and sewn together.
Neither Airspace nor I had any experience in this line of work so it was a lot of trial and error but the result was incredible.
The animals have since been shipped to America for a festival.
