This print is not just a mere digital halftone rendering derived from a single photograph. Instead we have compared different states and shots of an eclipse in detail, then painted multiple large-format abstractions by hand and successively recombined the results into one single image — that final abstraction of the eclipse was then processed digitally and rendered as halftones. And then… we started printing! The result has been screen-printed by hand with an opaque white ink and one of the blackest paper stocks available.
