If the Trans Mountain expansion goes ahead, and that is still a big ”if” at present, it will primarily supply California’s coastal refineries because of declining California and Alaska production.  Only smaller tankers can navigate under the Second Narrows bridge making them less than competitive in southeast Asia markets.

The best way for western Canadians to get their oil sands crude and products and shale oil and LNG to new markets, and to develop low-carbon hydropower to run the operations, is to build a multi-pipeline, multi-energy corridor from the oil sands to Prince Rupert – the best, safest, and closest port to southeast Asia on Canada’s west coast.

First Nations, through Eagle Spirit Energy, are on side for such a project on their lands.

If Trudeau doesn’t like it, he can send in the troops.

Western Canadians are fed up with Trudeaus, with Quebec – especially Mayor Denis Coderre of Montreal dancing on the news of Energy East’s demise, with Premier Notley shrugging and saying she is “disappointed” at the cancellation of Energy East, and with Albertans providing billions in equalization to Quebec in the form of personal and corporate taxes and getting slapped in the face in return.

How long are western Canadians going to put up with another “Salmon Arm Salute*” from another Trudeau?
