Design for Change- Friends of the Earth

As graphic designers we tend to appeal people with visual aesthetics. But as visual communicators & human beings we should feel the responsibility to fight for social causes. Posters & daily newspapers/magazines(media) can change history and even the political landscape of a country. Only a few realise this as a creative weapon in their arsenal and exploit it to their full potential. This project required us to come up with a single page advertisement for a magazine spread. The advertisement had to specifically be targeted to an audience. The main motive of the ad was to research different social problems and design an advertisement that appealed change. I decided to address the issue of fossil fuels & our transition to renewable energy. The client of my choice was ‘Friends of the Earth’.
