We evolved this way.

Knowing who we are makes us feel secure.

(False) certainty about others is reassuring.

We are actually less safe.

We waste precious resources.

Conceptual Research

In 2017, I designed this concept that glorifies “The Sad Truth About Why People Build Emotional Walls”.

Remember the thrill of building walls as a kid? Forts made from snow, or a giant cardboard box. Burying ourselves in blankets and pillows. Walling ourselves off from our enemies — real or imagined — to fight heroic battles until it was time for dinner.

This concept was built upon to shed some light over the sensitive topics like depression, self-isolation and creation of walls around themselves to protect themselves the harsh realities of life ,which is what the common people go through, may it be teenagers , young adults or even old age people .

Some days I wake up
and all I feel
are the fractures
in the flesh
that covers
the only me
i've ever known.
Some days,
it's those exact
fissures
that let the light
hiding inside me
pour out
and cover
in gold
everyone
that found enough beauty
in the cracks
to stand close.
