CoolFords.com Virtual SEMA Vehicle

RPM-3D, Inc and CoolRide Pix partnered with CoolFords.com to create a "virtual" SEMA Vehicle for the 2012 SEMA Show.

We had to create a 3D mockup in less than 36 hours for this project, so since the timeframe was so short, we decided to purchase a 3D model from "Squir" of a Ford Raptor Truck.

Normally we build our own 3D models, but due to time constraints it just wasn't possible for this project.  We then UV mapped the body of the vehicle and designed a "Wrap" for the body for the body of the truck that met the clients expectations which included a "matte" finish.

Then we placed the rendered 3D versions into photo-backplates and did some editing to make the scenes look more realistic.

Special thanks to Jeff Strong of RPM-3D, Inc. and SmokinGrafix for his assistance with the mapping and material editing on this project...
