展覽概念 /

日治時期(1908年)，日本人在高雄填海打造出來的海埔新生地；以棋盤方式規劃的現代化街道；現代化新式碼頭(新濱碼頭)、鐵路(濱線鐵路)、停車場（火車站），及最早使用自來水、電力、電燈等，為南台灣海陸交通的樞紐，並開啓最早海陸聯運新紀元的地方就是「哈瑪星」。

「哈瑪星」這名詞是由日文的「濱線」(はません，Hamasen) 音譯而來，指的是1908年打狗停車場到岸邊碼頭倉庫的「濱線鐵路」。這個具有百年前高雄都市發展初期風貌的地方，有著豐厚的文史資源，多變的歷史面貌，老屋群承載著生活的記憶、刻化了歷史的軌跡。

2017生態交通全球盛典特別策劃「哈瑪星－老屋・老街」舊憶時空展覽，以照片為點、光影為線、影像為面的方式，透過老照片呈現及影片播放，串聯七個空間讓民衆得以穿梭在街廓裡，凝視老照片時，宛如穿越了百年巷弄，回首哈瑪星前世今生，感受哈瑪星當年的風韻。

In 1908, during the Japanese rule, the Japanese reclaimed land by the sea in Kaohsiung. They laid out the city streets in grids, modernized the Hamasen Harbor, Hamasen Railway, and the train station. They introduced tap water, electricity, electrical lamps, and more. Hamasen rose to be the hub of southern Taiwan, and started a new era for multimodal transportation.

The word ”Hamasen“ is Japanese. Specifically, it refers to Hamasen Railway, which connected Kaohsiung Harbor Train Station and the seaside warehouse in 1908. Imprints of urban development from the early days are still evident in Kaohsiung. With rich cultural resources and diverse historical background, the memories live on in the historic building, making their marks in history.

Historic photos and video footages interwoven with light and shadow connect the seven areas through which viewers may browse, as though they were walking through the century-old alleys while their eyes lock on the photos, recollecting the present and bygones of Hamasen, and experiencing Hamasen’s glorious past.
