Openwater Church (OWC) started in 1996 as Westchase Community Church.  It moved its Sunday morning services to a Korean Seventh Day Adventist Church in 1997. One year later, Pastor David Towner joined the church as the new Senior Pastor. In 2000, the church moved its services to Westchase Elementary before moving again to Davidson Middle School in 2002.
