INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE BOOK
A two spread and cover design for a teenage inspirational quote book for Walter Foster Publishing.
The quotes come from some of my personal favorites, businesswoman Esteé Lauder and Biologist and Philanthropist Jane Goodall. Each spread has the inspirational quote and a photo of the author with their short biography and details on the opposite page. Each page also has illustrations and details that re ect the life of the featured author, such as the make up brushes for Esteé Lauder, and leafs for Jane Goodall. I was inspired by the scrapbook and collage look of some of my old journals and photo books when I was a young teenager. The typefaces used in the design are casual, fun, and re ect the handwriting of a teenager. The body text is a simple sans serif, that is open and casual for the target audience. The names of the authors are in a script font to give a personalized look of their signatures. The color pink is used throughout the book for a feminine and playful aesthetic. The overall design of the quote book is geared towards the target audience of young females ages 12 and up, and the colors, fonts, illustrations, and free flowing grid to reflect that demographic.
