The brief for this project was to develop a series of posters for a theatrical run of the Greek play Medea by Euripides. The aim for the posters is to visually represent the aspect of revenge and conspiracy that builds throughout the play and leads to an explosive climax.
This was done by using digital tools and scans of various textures to create the motif of magma seeping from the Earth; something that is both gradual and devastating.
Each image is a variation on this idea, where there is an emphasis on Medea, the knife she uses and on both respectively.
