During 3D-Design class, I have produced this light which tells my own story. The connoted meaning of this light is that through experience, I have learned different race, color, and culture do not actually matter: we are all the same. Aside from the bottom part, all 5 sides of 6 gradually-increasing-sized cubes have cutouts that allow light to travel and spread out. Different figures which obstruct the passage of light indicates the sense of difference, instability, and unfamiliarity that I felt when I first went to international school in Manila at the age of 10. However, the core meaning of this work is in one particular side of light, which is made of only circles without any blocking of light. "One must abandon all notions of 'otherness' and instead embrace 'togetherness.'"
