A few months ago I had the chance to take part of an Indian celebration in a small temple in Palermo. There I could see the world from another perspective. It was a good opportunity to see how different ethnicities are related to religion. Those people made me understand that for them every celebration is like a date with someone, so they clean, adorn and talk to their god. After the celebration they prepare a dinner and eat the meal all together. I noticed the deep reverence of younger people towards the elderly ones, but respect is reciprocal. Everyone there was happy to do all that stuff together.
