MOCHO is the name of the portuguese tradicional stool that everyone knows. Into all grandfathers houses exist some Mochos, every old people in portugal have some of them. It´s used in the kitchen, in the room, in the farm and this way is almost one portuguese icon cause it could be used everywhere.
In this academic project the goal was to redesign this tradicional stool.
After some conversations and branistormings I understood wich characteristics in this object are really intrinsic.
Why sould we redesign only the formal part? My idea was to give some new thing to the stoll. This way i tried to add some part to put some objects.
To reduce the production costs i used only one metal sheet. This way the stool has only to pieces, the legs in metal and the another part in the tradicional pine wood.
