Sera Pendant Light - biodegradABLE
Sera is completely recyclable with the main shade being biodegradable. Experimenting with a tweaked bioplastic, I was able to rotation mould (by hand) a light that is heat resistant and able to be as beautiful when off as it is on.
Brief - Design a household item for a persona, using a biodegradable material that is of your own making/ an improvement on an existing one.
When working with the basic gelatin mixture of the bioplastic, I realised that wood could be used to stabalise the warping of the material to an extent, allowing for individuality as each shot was hand rotated in a fiberglass mould.
